Founder of Krav Maga
Imi Lichtenfeld, the founder of Krav Maga (pronounced KRAHV muh-GAH), was born in 1910 in Hungary, but grew up in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia. He died in 1998 in Netanya, Israel.
Krav Maga Symbol
The Krav Maga symbol consists of the Hebrew letters K (Kouf) and M (Mem) surrounded by an open circle signifying that the system is open to improvement by adding newer techniques and training methods.
